Cardiff have developed expertise in ?laboratory fuel-cloud formation? over the past 10 years or so. This new combustor enables minimisation of boundary wall effects, as well as detailed investigation of initial flame development and flame quench conditions for gaseous and liquid (single and two phase) combustible mixtures.
