In the last month, the GTRC have started a project with National Gas Transmission to investigate the effects on gas turbine and compressor equipment at compressor stations when adding hydrogen to the national gas grid infrastructure.

Through a combination of experimental and simulation work, the team will examine how changing the gas blend could affect equipment and system performance, enabling NGT to mitigate and prepare for the anticipated changes.
